Plastic Wire (also known as Brim Reed or Plastic Memory Wire) is commonly used in millinery around the edge of hat brims. It retains its curve creating shapes and forms to help larger brims from "flopping". The gauge of the wire is available in 20 gauge (0.85mm), 17 gauge (1.2mm) and 12 gauge (2mm). Sold in lengths of 5m or 20m.
