Cotton covered wire is often used in millinery to construct hat brims. It is also widely used to create other head-dress shapes and frames for theatre and other craft forms. Available in other colours as well as thicknesses. Please keep in mind that the gauge only refers to wire thickness and does not include the thickness of the cotton layer wrapped around the wire.
